Inspection Engineers has a total of ten P.E. licensed engineers covering the structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines. In addition, we have a staff or four Assistant Engineers; one General Contractor specialized in roofs, and one elevator specialist.

What we offer....

We offer preliminary initial inspection of your property FOR FREE. Then, based upon our findings, we will provide you with a proposal in which we divide the proposed scope of work into two phases: one in which areas in need of further investigation, types of inspection (structural, roof, electronic, and mechanical)

The fees for inspection are negotiated based on the type of repairs, supervision, and/or services needed.

Inspection Engineers, Inc. is one of the oldest engineering companies in the South Florida area performing restoration engineering services. Originally created by Mr. Theodore Sigman P.E. in 1972, as Inspection Engineers, IE has performed over 20,000 structural, mechanical, and electrical inspections in commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

At the present time, IE is headed by Mr. Douglas H. Mercado, President and General Manager of the company. Mr. Mercado brings extensive experience to the consulting, engineering, and and planning fields. Mr. Mercado has represented prominent engineering firms such as Wilbur Smith and Associates based in South Carolina, GDC based in Chicago, and Ecology and Environment based in Buffalo, NY......to name a few.
